THYARD

Concept

ブランド名はThread（縫い糸）と YARN（編み糸）をかけ合わせた造語です。
その名の通り、糸から素材にとことん向き合い、機能的で快適さを追求した製品づくりをしています。
実現したいのは、暮らしとともにある“いつもの一着”をつくること。そして、生産者の顔が見えるメイド・イン・ジャパンの
モノづくりを維持し、着るひと、つくるひと、未来を生きるひとにとってやさしいブランドであり続けることです。

The brand's name is a coined word combining Thread (sewing thread) and YARN (knitting thread).
As the name implies, we thoroughly explore materials from thread to create functional and comfortable products.
What we want to achieve is to create "everyday clothing" for daily life.
And by maintaining "Made in Japan" production where we can see the producers' faces,
we hope to continue to be a friendly brand to customers, manufacturers, and people living in the future.

日本には優れたテキスタイルの産地があり、精巧な技術が脈々と受け継がれています。安価に手に入る海外生産の比率が増え続けていますが、
THYARDは国内生産にこだわり、各地の生産者とつながって想いを重ね合わせながらメイド・イン・ジャパンの魅力を発信していきます。

Japan has excellent textile production areas, where elaborate techniques have been inherited from generation to generation.
While overseas production is becoming cheaper and cheaper, THYARD is firmly committed to domestic production.
We will continue to promote the appeal of "Made in Japan" by connecting with producers in each area and sharing our thoughts with them.
